Description of Battle in the Books of Seerah of Maulana Idrees Kandhalvi and Pir Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari: A Comparative Study

Zia-u-Nabi and Seerat-e-Mustafa are to important books on th e biography of the Holy Prophet )MPBUH(.The tow authors possess special status among Muslim scholars. They adopted distinguish style in their books and highlighted different aspects of seerah in scholarly way.The objective of this research paper is to present comparative anlysis of the abov two books. Pir Karam Shah has described the detail of 36 battles while Maulana Idrees Kandhlivi has shed light on 37 battles fought during the period of the Holy Prophet. The writing styles of two authors are different. Pir Karam Shah has described the events of battles in detail while Maulana Kandhlvi's narated them in abstract form.
