Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a moderation model for understanding how zakat recipient has impact on altruistic motivation of zakat payers via organization factor (banking institution). For this purpose, a structured questionnaire was developed and primary data was collected a sample of 1102 respondents from banks and individuals who are paying zakat covering six large districts of Punjab. Inferential statistics techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation and moderated regression analysis were applied. Results confirmed study hypothesis regarding the moderating role of organizational factor (zakat recipient) and level of satisfaction, trust between banking system and altruistic motivations of zakat payers. Thus, we suggest that zakat payers will be motivated to pay more zakat for reducing poverty.
