Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the leadership styles and problems of the head teachers and. their impact on the schools' academic performance. Descriptive research method was used and data was collected through structured questionnaires from 162 head teachers (85 males; 77 female) and 324 teachers from 162 secondary schools of District Layyah, Pakistan. The results were drawn through SPSS software. In our study, we found that the head teacher's leadership skill is very vital to enforce regulatory framework and achieve academic targets through motivation and rewards.
