Rights Of Women In The Light Of Surah 'Nisa' Of The Holy Quran

Society is composed of persons and every person working in different fields is a part of society. Society determines the rights and obligations of every person so that the people may be able to discharge them accordingly. The responsibilities are assigned to every person according to his qualification, skill and experience. A person is respected due to his social status and noble deeds, not on account of his economic status. In this paper, we have studied the right of women in the light of Surah Nisa. We have noted that women in Pakistan are not enjoying the rights mentioned in this chapter of Holy Quran and violence against women is continued. We suggest that the government of Pakistan should make legislation for protection of the rights of women so that may able to get share in property of their parents and husband and spend their lives in a secure social environment.
