Abstract

The objective of this research paper is to analyze the contribution of exports in Economic growth in Pakistan. For this purpose, we used time series data for the period of 1980-2015. We checked the impact of three independent variables; exports, imports and FDI on dependent variable GDP by using ARDL and VECM approaches. We applied ADFs Unit Root test to check stationarity. Our results show that Export and FDI have positive and significant impact on GDP while import has negative significant impact on GDP in the long run and short run.
